I read the first chapter last night, and I'm so happy you're updating so quickly. I love it, and I can't wait to find out what's been going with Alistair and how it will turn out.
My finals are approaching very quickly, so I won't be able to keep quite this pace over the next two weeks or so, but I will do my absolute best. I'm very happy you're enjoying it so far!
I really intended this to be a little lighter, even funny in places, but I've found that to be nearly impossible at this point in the story. Things will brighten eventually, but the omgdrama is rather necessary at this point. Ah, well. I'm so happy you're enjoying it so far. :D
Heh, I just updated about an hour ago! Unfortunately, my research papers have to get some attention now, but I will keep up as best I can. Thanks so much for the comment -- I'm really glad you like the story! :D
Not sure if I've mentioned yet that I love this, and how you're telling it.
Haven't yet been able to bring myself to go with the ending that inspired you because I'm too sad at the thought of drunken hobo Alistair (am thinking I could maybe do it with my current char if I go ahead and then decide my PC mage has had a 'oh noes! it woz all a dreem!' moment, waking up in Arl E's Denerim estate, giving her very great clarity on what NOT to do at the upcoming Landsmeet, lol).
Of course this is going to be made of win if it has angsty, scruffy (in my head, anyway...) Alistair, but beyond that it is very, very well written, with great pathos and emotional weight. I particularly like your Cousland, she's very well developed and has very obvious strength.

It's very sad, but also a very strong piece. A lot of drama in fanfiction comes across as wishy/washy but this is just delicious.
I can't wait to read more.
