Starlight Lounge rulezz!
Went downtown tonight with Jack Jackson and the E*S tribe and met up at the Starlite Lounge. I think I've posted about the Starlite before but how awesome 10-midnight happy hour is never really sunk in before. All martinis down there are $2 off which means you can kind of experiment with their drink menu without fear.
I started out with the Chai-tini which sounds really stupid but for $2.75 it was worth the risk. They had a Chai liqueur there I've never seen before that tasted exactly like most chai I've had but boozy. It was good mixed with vodka but I imagine it would be even better mixed in with a really strong cup of black tea. I also tried the ruby red grapefruit martini they had which was basically their Absolut (which I usually hate) Rudy Red Vodka with a sugar rim. It tasted a lot like grapefruit I used to eat as a kid with the serrated grapefruit spoon - really strong, sour grapefruit but with a mess of sugar on top.
Starlite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is sweet. We were the only table in there until 11:00 when I decided to leave.
