long overdue post
so i spent my cny eve at jess' place
we had steamboat
the soup was really good! played mahjong, cards, and ate pineapple tarts and this peanutty biscuit.
overall i had a really good time
kind of a different cny i guess?
all friends no family, the irony in fact
well i hear that next yr i probably won't be celebrating cny either
so better get used to it while i can.
but i have to admit, stepping into jess' apartment..
i don't know? i felt pretty homesick for a while. a bit sian.
but my mum called and so it was good :)
i'm usually pretty bored at reunions sometimes
but i don't know.. this feeling. it's different.
i really did miss home!
update for melbourne people:
the weather's been pretty insane. 40 degrees! scorching like hell sun, it hurts.
i think i'm darker?
well i don't know, i usually just turn red. ugh.
then it hurts.

WHAT CAN I SAY
it was surprisingly fun
it's crazy!!
tires me out
i don't know where/how the oweekers get their energy from
booze maybe?
but omg they're friendly hyper fun and happy all at one go!
NEVER angry, frustrated at all.
i invited dots for family lunch :p
haha it was pretty amazing, and a good thing i did because she met her friend anna
who is friends with connie and has a sister cindy who is a fellow fresher and now my friend too!
pretty exciting huh?
then i met ai and shui and grace and jess and and kath from the states and sarah....... and freak i can't remember anyone's names anymore
shit.
BUT ANYWAY
the first activity made us so dirty it was disgusting
i was filled with food dye, dough, tomato sauce, vegemite, mud, grass and sweat.
then it hardens
and then they make us slide down some soapy water and we're all yicky again
then they hit us with really smelly ass pillows.
ugh
i had blue paint on my hair.
what's worse is on my floor..... there is only one freaking toilet! (2 cubicles)
but there are really a heck load of people, like 20 on the floor?
the only thing i'm grateful about is that my room is diagonally opposite the toilet
so i can rush into it really fast :)
but well i was slow today, so i had to line up.
and it feels really strange bathing next to a guy? or even bathing next to someone for that matter.
then we learnt the st mary's dance
ahahha nice song they chose. and pretty damn fun too
then we met our groups, i'm in hawk eye.
and like there're about 8 people in my group?
then dinner. dinner was like christmas, turkey roast beef potato salad, pasta......
pretty good stuff~
THEN we had turn (which means party in college)
alcohol only allowed to be consumed in that room
but they had some pretty kickass songs!
they were like MAMBO SONGS
well some. forever young :)))) i like.
and they played hanson (CASS THEY PLAYED MMBOP AND PENNY AND ME, and i thought of u)
so everyone was just dancing insanely
i was pretty hesitant at first
but time, and alocohol does give u a heck load of confidence sometimes.
and then i skipped the pub thing. i'm really tooooo tired and apparently it's sleep in monday?
but so much for sleeping in if we have to have breakfast at 930
pretty crazy huh.
sigh.
i really ought to get some sleep soon.
