I'm pretty sure it's called suprapubic something-something

O__o Well, whatever it is, I feel like my inside's being carved out with that dainty little device they use to remove coconut meat. (Yung buko. Ginawang buko pandan. Yum.) @__@ Why am I a girl? *suffers*

Actually, it's more distracting and uncomfortable than painful. I actually have a high pain threshold.

Anyway, the orientation classes are almost done. Last day's tomorrow, where we'll practice phlebotomy on mannequins. Eheh. Phlebotomy, phlebotomy, why dost thou exist? @__@ Come on, who wants to go around hurting other people? With needles that look like they can suck your soul out of your body? (Just kidding. They're not that big.)

Oh, I start on the hospital floor on Sunday. (malalayo daw ako sa Diyos. ^^;; )I won't be able to attend church on the Sundays I'd be working. (but really, I'd praying much more frequently once I hit the floors. The nurse's prayer. The key words are "don't", "let," and the other one starts with "k." XD Kidding aside, it's true though.)

I forgot to say a few posts ago. I was telling a story about how I watched Naruto in Cartoon network with my little sister and this 9-year old boy. So the scene was from the 3rd episode where Sakura gushes over Sasuke and Naruto goes after Sakura and Hinata is blushing over Naruto. So the boy asked me, "Who gets paired with who?" You know what my answer was?

"Uh... I don't know."

=___=

Gosh, but that's a true answer! There is no canon pairing! (except for the married people---and I can only think of two pairs) It didn't even cross my mind to say, "NaruHina and SasuSaku,hell YES baby!" Oh, but did I feel like I betrayed my OTPs (Two True Pairings?) afterwards. *sniffles*

Anyway, it startled me when the kid asked me that. O__o Really. The last time I brought up the topic of Naruto pairings while talking to a guy, the guy said something like, "ha ha. Is that so?" and then changed the subject. Of course, that guy, who is my 18-yr old sister's friend, is a 20 year old anime fan. He was much more interested in the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and the Rasengan and the Chidori and Sasuke and Naruto's big, big, big fight.

Speaking of which, that same night I saw "Mean Girls." Finally. ^^;;

It was a very good watch, I thought. One of things that I remember right now and am amused at (and nobody else is) is that one of the girl's name is Janis Ian. It's the name of a singer who sang, "I learned the truth at 17 / that love was made for beauty queens / and high school girls with clear-skinned smiles / who married young and then retired." I like that song a lot. It amuses me. ( I actually submitted it to the Yearbook Committee back in high school, because I thought it would be sardonically funny. ^^;;; )

He he. Liked the movie a lot.

Ooh! 31_days themes for October are very interesting. What more? It's obligatory AU month. I've never really written AU AU. I'm actually kinda excited.

Of course, around that time, I'll probably be very very stressed. ^^;; And probably not very very productive writing-wise.

Sunergos Chapter 9 & 10 has been outlined. Yay.

@__@ That's it. Nervous about Sunday. Nervous most of all about soon having to poke little catheters into people's blood vessels to either take out or put in stuff. =__=

I just learned, too, that since I'm in the general surgical floor of a trauma center hospital, I'll be seeing the trauma patients. You know, gunshot wounds, vehicular accidents, that sort of thing.

*gets sick*

Then my mom pointed out that they'd be post-op and therefore clean and not mangled and stuff. ^^;;

Dear God, thank you for not allowing me to apply for the Emergency Department. T-T

Oh, and the patients would most likely be young and have good veins for IVs and blood draws. Hmmm...

*shakes head* Did you know that it was once my dream job to become a medical examiner when I was about nine or ten? (Because I wanted to be a doctor and go into forensic science and be badass like Dana Scully.) My, where did I get the idea that I might find sloughing through cadavers fun?

@__@

...

Hmm... I got a little morbid again. I gotta cut back on too much gallows humor. It's supposed to be healthy for healthcare workers, but laymen would most certainly be distrubed. Ohohohoho.

Oh, and a picture! Meet Nyx. ^__^ Taken at South Beach Miami.
