In celebration of returning to the beloved cubie (the excitement lasted for about a 15 minutes, and then, I was encountering the same problem, which was lack of concentration because of the various conversations), I take a break from sloughing through the collateral damage of the past two weeks of camping out in the hospital, and I write an illegal LJ post.
That’s it. . . my few remaining active brain cells have been eaten by those few words. I shall proceed with the rest of my day as a zombie.
Noise aside, (it really is my fault for forgetting my earphones at home), it is such a relief to get out of the cramped room. On top of the general stress because of the dog-and-pony-and-yellow-clown show, I think the cabin fever was making everybody snippy.

Yesterday, I was in a rare mood as I pulled up our driveway, and had asked my sister: “Do you know what the problem with people is?”
“What?” she asked with her usual pre-teen sullenness.
“They’re all dumbf***s.”
“…”
“Am I not sharing an earthshakingly profound lesson in life?” I demanded.
She boredly said no, but she did agree with the bit about people = dumb****. At which point, I started pitching the idea of her moving into a more respectable school, reasoning that there will be less stupid people there, to which she disagreed, saying it’ll be the same anywhere.
Ah, the things the youth have to learn early! Acting like a dumb*** is human nature. I act like one once in a while.
At any rate, while I appreciate the practicality, I know her unwillingness to aim for a better school stems from something simpler: laziness.

Smart mouth comments aside, please do read
luckychan’s flash fic entry, “Not Ready Yet,” and
vote for her in Crossing Genres. Her piece is quite effortlessly pulled off and worthy of an evil chortle or two. XD
