Nido Oriental-Style Soup

Mar 07, 2008 08:14

My two siblings and I loved that soup (my little sister wasn't born yet at the time, and even after, she always gave me her share). It comes in those little sachets. You need to mix the powder first with cold water before boiling it. I remember a time when my brother's yaya (technically, ours, I guess) cooked some, tasted the soup and found it sour, then threw it away thinking it was spoiled. I've returned to that memory several times, realizing in retrospect she must have cooked the "Hot and Sour" one, each time mourning the waste of perfectly good soup.

LOL.

In the words of my one and only love Victoria (Tis a pity she has no way of reading this), I'm sick like a dog. I have been for days. I went home earlier than usual from work Wednesday, because I was feeling so bad. I've called out today because I'm still a tad dizzy and my head feels like it's underwater. O__o Plus, I'm not gonna get better if I keep insisting to go to work. . .

(And well, they don't really give a damn, I don't think. )

The 1st exams turned out quite well actually. O__O I got an astounding 89 in Calculus I, which could have been higher, too. I just didn't know what to do with those infinities multiplied/divided etc (which I had just cleared up with
kristiann). Still, 8 points, mon dieu! And the Western Civilization one was. . . XD.  *gloats in private*

I have to work at not losing the momentum.

@__@ I feel like the math is deadly right now though. I think my algebra is infinitely better now, than it was back in high school. Still, making stupid little mistakes in a very long simplification or whatever has always been my pitfall. PITFALL, I SAYS!

And trigonometry should just BURN.

Finished book two, New Moon  by Stephenie Meyer. O__o. I didn't get the 3rd book because I er. . . was the deterred by the price tag. -__-;; But. . .

In any case, I drove my mom to the airport this morning. It was around 7:30 am then. The bookstore & the library were both still close. Now that I'm ensconced in my room, I don't feel like driving out.

(But who knows? I'll get desperate at some point. )

I was wondering. . . do resident aliens in the U.S. have additional taxes? Curious lang.

Never mind.

And geeze. My grammar is going down the toilet. What's with all those improper verb forms?

twilight, health, book read, reminiscing, that more school thing
