So I was told by my sister that there is an awesome program that sends college graduates abroad for a year so that they can study whatever they want and get experience doing what they want to do. I thought, wow, this is exactly what I have been looking for! So tonight I finally did some research about the program. It provides a $25000 grant for a year doing pretty much whatever you want to benefit your personal growth. So I think, awesome, how do I apply. Unfortunately life is not that simple. Only nominated students of particular schools are allowed to apply to the program. Fuck that. I don't think that there is a program like that for people like me. I went to a public college, I graduated with not the best grades, but good enough, and I have a drive to follow my passion. I have been saving and saving, I have begun to plan, however a fat grant would make life that much easier. Aside from housing and food, I will still have to pay for classes, dance and language. The euro is so strong and I am afraid that even with all of my savings I can't stay for too long. My roommate is suggesting a Send Laurie to Spain Party, were people would pay a cover charge to come and I guess I would ask my dance group to dance for free to get more donations. I don't know right now. Phase one, graduate college. Phase two, move to Spain...
