Oh, you meant that literally!
As we vacate our former offices, we're giving away lots of furniture to other campus departments. One office manager who'd asked for some shelves called and left a message asking if this morning would be a good time to send a "lieutenant" over to pick them up. I thought that was a rather interesting and colorful way to refer to her assistants, until I called back and the phone was answered by "Lieutenant X." It was, of course, the Military Science Department, and I'd just failed to put two and two together!
