Going back eight or nine years, I remember that "Richard D. James Album" was really the first musical body of work that I listened to regularly which wasn't a science fiction soundtrack. Along with Midnight Oil, it really forms the root of my musical taste. I'm really glad trisloth brandished upon me aussie rock and Aphex Twin when I was very young, though I do sometimes wonder what I would be listening to now if he hadn't.
