Reading again

Last night I picked up 59 Seconds, the new Richard Wiseman book. It's one of the ones I got from Amazon. Wow is it good. It's basically ways to help yourself that are scientifically proven through multiple experiments, without any of the bullshit that the average "self-help" books contain. In fact, a good number of the studies done refute common self-help tropes, like trying to suppress negative thought,s and visualizing yourself as a skinny/rich/perfect person.

I love Wiseman. I've read a couple of his books, and I follow his blog and Twitter feed. He's a social scientist who knows how to popularize psychology. And there's some really good advice in this book, backed up by science. Awesome.
