Star Wars = AMAZING
Oh wow...Star Wars at 12:01 am this morning was absolutely FANTASTICLY AMAZING! So good. I won't go crazy babbling on about all the different scenes and events from the movie because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but...I left utterly upset that (shock of all shock) Anakin really did go stupid and become Darth Vader (which I obviously knew would happen but while watching the movie I still rooted for him to stay on the good side! :^D) and also sincerely elated about the genius of George Lucas and the amazingness of the whole movie.
So yeah, Diane, Greg, and I got there at like 7 so that we could eat dinner and then go stand in line at 9 but when we saw the two freakishly long lines already forming at 7 we grabbed some pizza and waited in line. I know that a lot of people's reactions to that is "That is so stupid. That would suck to stand in line for so long." (cough cough Brice ;^P) but it was actually pretty fun. At different times Jon, Anisa, Esin, and Nishita (!yay she's back!) joined us so we all had fun talking, goofing off, and just looking at the crazyiness of some of the Star Wars fans. There were people dressed up in full costume as Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, Star Trekkies (who got stuff thrown at them! which they should have realized would happen to them since they were dressed for Star Trek at a Star Wars midnight showing!), and there was a guy with a life-size, walking, beeping R2-D2!!! Watching the movie with hardcore Star Wars fun is awesome because there's such a wonderful energy emanating (<-vocab word from the English test I finally took today! Ha ha!) from them.
Diane and I were the only ones in our group to actually be fully awake still at like 3 when it finished (and I still can't believe Jon fell asleep at one point!). Diane and I went back to crash at my house and we decided that since we were completely on Star Wars highs we would just get into bed and talk. Nevertheless, the second our heads hit the pillows we were out! :^D But we did manage to wake ourselves up to go to school on time unlike other people (cough cough Anisa, Esin :^P) and we were both actually pretty hyper for most of the day until like precal brought me down. Got home, took a nap on request from my mother, wook up several times saying "Shit, did I miss school?" and now I'm about to go eat dinner back on my Star Wars high. So long story short...it was 110% worth the lack of sleep and waiting in line!
