i really hope that hurricane doesn't come!!
It's starting to scare the crap out of me to hear everyone planning their evacuation routes, what their going to bring with them, where they're going. My dad must have bought all the water in HEB in preperation for the hurricane. And my mom's making me figure out everything that I'll bring with me and giving me instructions like where to meet up with Julia at school and to always have my phone on full battery. I know several people who have their bags packed and ready to leave.
Galveston is on voluntary leave but apparantly that's going to become mandatory by tomorrow. Mr. Stoeberl was talking about how school could be canceled on Friday and how we shouldn't worry about our grades and stuff when it hits. He was also talking about how strong it's going to become by the time it hits us (it's already a category 2 and hasn't gone through the Gulf Coast which is supposed to make it to a category 4!!!) and that we're around the same amount inland as New Orleans! Scary, huh?
I really don't want it to hit. I keep thinking over and over in my head about all the sentimental things (i.e. pictures, baby videos, mementos, etc) that would be lost. This puts life into persepective.
