"I [live] in love, in laughter, and in truth." - Bill Hicks

Thanks for visiting my blog. First, a little bit about myself. I'm a 22 y/o woman from Spokane, WA. I have three autoimmune diseases, Evans Syndrome, Lupus and Fibromyalgia which I've been dealing with for the past five years, since I graduated high school. This blog is going to be focused on my specific struggles with being young, chronically ill and uninsured in the United States. But I think a lot of people can relate to the situation I am in. There are tons of uninsured, sick people in this country who are desperate for help. Their needs are met at the absolute lowest standard possible set by the government. We are trying to survive through pain, sickness, anxiety, depression, poverty and skepticism. I hope that through my blog I can help the chronically ill be better understood by their friends and family, and most importantly the general public, as well as understand that they may feel alone in their struggle, but they aren't.

I'm in the process of organizing, adding to and updating this livejournal.

I've gotten about $200 in donations from robinhoodfund.com, which is great! I'm really thankful for the people who donated's generosity. I'm not going to win this round, my second try, so I posted a wish for next week. If you wished before, please wish again! Every vote is immensely apprecaited, especially when there are people who try to ruin it for others by signing up multiple fake accounts and taking points away from everybody else except one person. Here is the link for the next round: http://www.robinhoodfund.com/cast-your-votes/wish/id/3785   Thank you SO much for all your help and support on this.
donations

I just set up a paypal account for donations. They are gladly accepted and muchly appreciated. Any donations will go toward paying for prescriptions, doctors visits, over the counter medication, and other life ncessities I haven't been able to afford for a very long time (sunscreen, bandaids, laundry detergent, disinfectant wipes, toilet paper, a pair of jeans, a sunhat i need before summer, etc.) Thank you so much for your help.
