How does a person manage to smash a keyboard at the office so that nearly all the keys are missing?
Possible scenarios: throwing it against the wall, throwing it at a family member, beating it with a baseball bat a la "Office Space", beating a family member with a baseball bat, or taking it out to the parking lot and driving a truck over it.

After standing in the middle of the office for a few moments, holding the decimated keyboard and pondering the previous night's apparent fiasco, I grabbed the nearest metal folding chair and slammed the keyboard against the back of it.
Yup. That'll do it.
If anyone needs me, I'll be picking the number keys out of the drywall.
