Hermione smiled as she watched her daughter hunch down beside Scorpius to look at the tadpoles he'd found in the dark water of the small pond. She glanced up at Draco as his fingers tightened around hers, a smile blooming on her face as he met her eyes.
The two five-year-olds hadn't stopped fighting since learning of their parents plan to marry. They both hoped that now, after the fact, the children would finally cease-fire.
Draco smiled happily back down at her for a moment before he closed the distance between them and brushed his lips against hers.
She sighed into the kiss as Draco deepened it and for a moment, the two were lost in their own world where nothing existed but the two of them.
A sudden splash and loud, horrified shriek made them jerk away from each other and turn towards their children.
"Mummy, Scorpius pushed me!" Rose cried as she stood up, sopping wet. Luckily, the water barely reached the little girls knees, but Hermione wasted no time in hurrying into it to fetch her daughter.
Scorpius snickered at the sight, but when he caught the disapproving look his father threw him, he immediately quieted down.
Author's Note: There is no Hugo, because Hermione and Ron divorced before he could be conceived.
