so many links, not enough time

First of all, lemme say that Grimgrimoire is delicious.

The voice acting is mellifluous. Because of that ..

I have fallen in love with Lujei's voice.

/(T3T)/ I still can't find who her voice actress was.

There's this part with complicated sprinkling of new words for me. It's not a bad thing. Just unexpected. Like that part in SUIKODEN V where they worshiped Lucretia's skills.

Ahem. Good thing I didn't have AUTOPLAY on. I had to look it up in the dictionary (and this is why I'm using mellifluous.. next time I'm going to use exonerate) to understand what the heck that sentence meant.

The music is nice. Soft, peaceful, playful, and intense alternating. It's not irritating. But it gets redundant since you're playing as someone trapped in time, and there's bound to be repeats of the same music, like in Odin Sphere, as you go along the plot.

THE GRAPHICS. HOLY COW. I'm in awe the first time I saw it and saved. The chaotic twirling words during loading/save times, the character sprites, the background. It's pretty to look at. Makes me wonder how they did all that.

So you're a girl trapped in this school tower, repeating time after five days has passed, while the tower's occupants get slaughtered one by one in every repeat. Ground Hog Day style. The heroine, Lillet Blan, doesn't lose hope in finding the right way to break the cycle unlike GHD's protagonist.

Sounds a bit silly and interesting, right?

The first few chapters are all made for settling you right in the story, with tutorial battles to help you get started in the game. It was confusing the first time I played it. Up? Down? Triangle? Square? WTF Did I just cancel an upgrade!?

You'll get used to it after you win and lose your battles.

Complicated Rock and Scissors format with Real Time Strategy thrown in for the battle system. You'll be using four types of FAMILIARS to fight your way to success.

There's

Glamours
Necromancy
Sorcery
Alchemy

Glamours are strong against Necromancy which are strong against Sorcery which are strong against Alchemy which are strong against Glamours.

Glamours are the forces of Nature. Familiars include Elves, Fairies, and Unicorns.

Necromancy. Holy magic, deals with the souls of the dead.

Sorcery. Calls upon devils and demons AND SUPER AWESOME DRAGONS to do your bidding.

Alchemy.. >_> I dislike Alchemy. Dammit. Either I haven't been concentrating enough or there wasn't any Alchemy tutorial included. Anyway Alchemy deals with constructs like homunculi, and chimeras. Kriffin' scary looking chimeras. I was flabbergasted when I saw one. Like, WTF, seriously I have to fight that?!

The story starts out alright like what the game blurb says until the second chapter's closing event slaps you around with a twist. Ahahaha. Yeah. I didn't see that coming too.

The characters are what makes this game's story wonderful. A nice blend ~ I can't tell you much for that will spoil the story.

BUT, with all an Rating E as in, everyone can play it, there's a suprising amount of innuendos in the script. A blink and you'll miss innuendo. AND UST. UST BETWEEN THE TEACHERS WHILE THEIR STUDENTS ARE WATCHING. (and sometimes even between the teachers and students themselves) 0_o !!

Eh. That surprised me, that's all. LOL

I started playing this after I finished Vampire Night.

Due to Vampire Knight's popularity, it took me a while to find a review of it from Google's pages.

Vampire Night.

It's a light gun game ported to PS2. I've seen this game before. I've played this in a mall until my character died and two guys in suits(?) took over and proceeded to methodically kill every enemy in the chapter I've been in and beyond. I didn't get to see the end.

The first time I played Coop with someone playing this game, I wanted to see what the game was about (story). My partner(?) some dude whose face I don't remember, skipped every scene. He sucked at playing the game. We both were.

I'm still annoyed that he skipped the scenes. The game's graphics at that time wasn't that bad. The music was passable. And the enemies were brutal. It didn't help that you could ease your way into fights when you help infected villagers in ridding them of vampire Sarcoma which turns them into lesser vampires, BUT GETTING rid of those nasty buggers was easier said than done.

One wrong shot and POW. They transform and you get attacked.

The story: Two Vampire Hunter dudes are out to defeat, a Big Bad Vampire in an equally stylish Gothic Castle in the middle of nowhere with a village surrounding it. The game starts in out just as the Big Bad Vampire's minions lesser vampires(?) spring clean the entire village with equal parts of killing and converting a few unwilling villagers into lesser vampires themselves.

There's a Hunter Files corner. Completing every mission will yield the truth about our heroes from what I can guess as I looked at that area.

There's a little girl following you after you rescue her in the first chapter. She'll be following you in five chapters, making a baggage of herself as the paths and enemy encounters you face differ depending on how well you defended her. For variety's sake, I guess?

Additional contents in the PS2 version of this game ~

Tutorial Mode and Special Mission for example.

Special Mission is the same as playing the game in Arcade Mode, you still fight your way through the game's six chapters. The difference lies in the Items you could buy and equip plus the additional missions you get from some random villager. You'll automatically accept the mission/s when you choose Special Mission. The bad thing is that you'll need to have to finish the entire six chapters for the game to record your completed mission/s.

Tutorial mode helps you ease the problems of frantic gun clicking/controller tapping. It also provides bonuses when you complete the three difficulty modes in whatever training mission you take that carries over to Special Mission Mode.

I guess it would be fun to play using a gunCON(troller). With would be greater to play with a friend with gunCONs. The controller's accurate cursor is a plus against enemies especially Sarcomas and you can set the controller to an easy access to the reload/shoot button for a killing spree, but A GUNCON! WAAAAAH. OF COURSE THAT WOULD BE FUUUUN.

I spent the day before Christmas looking up mangas, reading Harry Potter fanfiction and reading my old journal entries.

Found out about a BL Game called Lucky Dog 1 and an AWESOME song from youtube that came from niconico douga called "Final Fantasy IV, Golbez's Four Lords of the Elements".

Today played a bit of Grimgrimoire and then looked up fanfiction for it. Thanks to TVTropes, I found it.

I love A Rose Forever Blighted the most!

Such a gripping story!

Ahahaha. ♥♥♥

Also, I can't read the other fanfics yet without finishing the game. orz
