Wild Weekend

Over the weekend there were 3-days of agility right in Eugene, How I love that. Friday was drama day. While waiting to go in for STD, Bea grabbed a food roll off the treat table and tried to wolf it down. I grabbed it out of her mouth but a chunk broke off and lodged in her esophogas. Several people tried to pry it out. No luck. Then Bea started making awful noises. Vet Judy came over and tried a Heimlich. No luck. Bea was getting cyanotic and so Judy called ahead to the ER and Terri drove me over there. I was in full blown fear of losing her. And then, right before arriving at the door, the chunk apparently dislodged and moved down because Bea started panting. The vet and techs were waiting and ready to do whatever was needed but nothing was. She got some very pricey meds to coat her intestines and was sent home. Lucky for me it was a food chunk and not a foreign object. And lucky for me there were so many people to be supportive. Thank you to all who helped in whatever way and for all those who worried with me. I love my agility peeps. And thank you to all my non-agility peeps who felt with me. I'm so grateful to have you.

Saturday Bea seemed eager to go so I ran acouple courses and then took her back home to rest. Sunday we ran three courses and she was so incredible. Fast and attentive. I still have blind cross fear but I'm trying to push myself. The courses this weekend had some interesting lines. Subtle challenges. Some of the courses were Dan Butcher's but happily for me, he wasn't there due to low entries. Here are the STD and JWW.
