Blustery Fall Trial

Nov 16, 2015 13:36

What a weekend. It was the Dobie trial in Ridgefield and I was going to take Dottie but the forecast called for heavy rains, wind and possible flooding so she stayed home. But Bea and I went and had a great time. She was a happy eager girl as always. She's so responsive that if I have a premature exclamation she does it and I've blown it. Like here where I said turn a fraction too soon. And turn she did. But her weaves were great.

As the weekend wore on her weaves deteriorated so after she popped out of them I pushed it more and then she popped off the dog walk. My list of things to work on gets longer. Most of them are about me.

It was a hard weekend in other ways. Least of it was the Packers lost - AGAIN - but it's a small thing in life when faced with the sudden death of a beloved dog as happened to someone at this trial. Or a terrorist attack in Paris.

Be grateful for every moment. Every run.
