Dottie Day

Every part of my body hurts which must mean progress was made on Dottie, or I'm a really old coot, or both.

New front window in. Putting the glass in was easy, putting that "snap" bead in trashed my fingers (and Gary's too I'm quite sure). They look like little fat sausages this morning but it's in and secure! The bead is also in the back window. It was hard to find replacement bead but we managed to scrounge just enough.

Cargo door finally finished. It's not ideal to have 3 latches on it but it just wasn't sealing well enough to keep water out so you do what you have to do. This required a lot of tweaking and I've had quite enough of it.

Gary did his magic with the water tank.

The old decrepit tires came off. There were two different kinds on the trailer and one of them was a car tire. Now they've gone to Les Scwab's for some new trailer tires and powder coating on the wheels. Next up I'll learn to pack wheel bearings. Even though many years ago I used to do some work on my car, I've never changed a tire or did the bearings. Never too old to learn.
