Another post about clinic. Yeah, so what? I like this stuff!
The little (probably autism spectrum) guy I see for the research project had a great day today! So he didn't actually do what we're hoping to achieve with the project, but he did consistently respond when we'd say his name, he labeled objects, he made a ton of engaged eye contact, and he actually sat on my lap and would look up at me during the therapy! This is the most communicative intent I've seen come out of this kid throughout the past two months combined. Is what we're doing actually helping him? What an exciting thought! And even if his recent improvement is not directly related to our therapy, it's still really exciting to see him growing like this.
