i'm not dead!
hellooooooooooooooooooooooo!! i'm NOT dead, i swear!
alright, it's been 11 (!!) weeks since i last posted. since then i've just been on a collision course with my departure for japan! i leave on march 9 for 3 days of training in vancouver, bc, and then depart on march 14 arriving on the 15th. i'll be teaching and living in the Osaka area, which makes me VERY happy indeed! Osaka is in the heart of the kansai region of Japan, home of a much more lyrical style of japanese which will be enjoyable for me, and ALSO very very VERY close to the birthplace of NINJAS! no, seriously. it's like, two prefectures (pretend they're like states) over! in fact, i'll be living right near the Naruto straight, which has the Naruto whirlpool and is crossed by the Onaruto bridge! CRAZY!! i didn't ask to be placed there, i swear!
i've also just gotten back from spending a week in NEW ORLEANS!! i went down to spend time with my best friend, Jenelle, and to get wicked rowdy at Mardi Gras! so much fun! so many beers! so many blunts! so many BEADS!! i've got pictures up on my website. in fact, if anyone is motivated enough to keep up with me, i've been updating my websites more often than my LJ these days. not exactly the same as having me on your flist, but hey, what can you do?
anywho, i hope all of you are well. i'll try to post again before leaving for japan!
