another week another excuse
hey kids! it's ridiculous that i have the internet in my pocket 24/7 and yet i can't post more than once a week. SAD! although i have to admit that i really haven't got much to say these days. i don't do much aside from go to work and spend th rest of my time far from sober with coworkers. there have been quite a few social events on my calendar lately. vfire island was really fun last week and i've been to some awesome parties this month with more upcoming! let's hear it for having a social life! this is actually kind of ironic as I have NOTHING to do tonight. but I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening at home. I've spent much of my day being domestic. cleaned my room, stripped and made my bed, did my laundry and the dishes and paid some bills. can I get a "ROCK N ROLL!!!" up in here?!?!?!

on a down note, we found out that our cat, Samantha, has diabetes. it sucks, but she's a relatively young cat. she should be alright. it's rough giving her insulin though. first off, she's not exactly a calm cat. she's also quite fluffy. it's trying at best, but each day gets better so let's just keep our fingers x-ed for her. in other completely unrelated news, things are going pretty well at work. i've got high hopes for upward movement. much more realistic, tempered hopes. there's much better communication in place this time around. i just hope i'm up for it honestly. i think i effing am though.
oh, and HAPPY EFFING BIRTHDAY, ack_attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
speaking of birthdays, mine is in a little over a week and i'm looking forward to it. even though i'm just sliding ever towards 30, i'm determined to enjoy myself as usual. my birthday dinner will be spent at The Melting Pot with friends and family and the friday night following will be spent in the city doing karaoke with coworkers and friends. let's hear it for drunken singing! in honor of the upcoming festivities (and of myself, on account of my awesome), i've updated my layout to something a little more festive. it's the kind of party decor i would have anyway. ha!
all in all, I'm here and I'm moseying right along in my life. things are okay.
