One of the realizations that I've come to over the past couple of weeks is that I need to volunteer again. There's nothing like having fun, helping people, and feeling better about the world.
I'd like to find something like 826Chi. There isn't a close 826 chapter, so how do I find the organizations that would work like them? I've looked up literary volunteering, and all I seem to be able to find is programs to help adults learn English. Which is a noble cause, but not what I'm looking for.
Anyone have any ideas on how to find what I want? Or any other fun organizations to volunteer for? I enjoy working with kids, particularly doing arts/literary enrichment.
