(no subject)
The past few days have been interesting. I've met a few people (Jamie of course is my roommate, Emily from orientation, and Bethany aka 'Betty', all from orientation). I met this rockin' girl Jenny through Betty. So woo...four people so far. Classes start tomorrow and I've been assured it will be easier to meet people then (have a class at 9:05...ew).
Sunday was move in day. Semi-stressful. My mom was able to jack up my bed really high because she's handy like that. Arranged my side of the room to my liking. It's great! Finally added some finishing touches today, but still not 100% satisfied/finished with the decorating.
Basically, the past 3 days/nights I've walked around campus a hell of a lot. Explored the different areas (Orchard Hill, Southwest, and Northeast where I live) and other places such as the Student Center and a few dining halls. I had spring rolls galore today, woo hoo!
Yeah, so I think things will go swell here. The town of Amherst is great, it's got a CVS, Starbuck's, and Newbury Comics (as well as a few other areas I have yet to explore). Wish me luck at my first day of classes tomorrow, I'm going to need it.
