Day 14
Well it's been a rough few days for teams who suck. Actualy, that's not fair because all of them did make it to the World Cup...however...they just didn't have enough fire in thier pants to make it. As you probably know, our great country's team is among these losers. Here's the list of countries who didn't cut the mustard and have to wait 4 more years for another chance:
Poland
Costa Rica
Paraguay
Trinidad and Tobago
Ivory Coast
Serbia and Montenegro
Angola
Iran
Czech Republic
USA
Croatia
Japan
Korea
Togo
Tunisia
Saudi Arabia
I know it's mean to say, but I'm pretty happy all the lame people are gone. I know it's like a huge national pride/meaning of life thing for many of these countries...but I want to see the best teams in the world. Survival of the fittest. (that only applies in sports, for the record, I'm still a pacifist here...) I truly and honestly wish these teams luck next time around. It's not a personal thing. Hell, if Togo or some other place comes with the heat in 2010 then MORE POWER to 'em. And I'll be glad to root for them. But sadly for them, it didn't work out... ON TO THE KNOCKOUT STAGE!!!!!!!
