Hey Everyone!
It's finally July 1st! Which means that a little later today posting will begin, and I am very, very excited, and you should be, too.
There are just a few announcements I wanted to get out before posting officially starts.
As you know all fics will be posted anonymously at first and then the authors will be revealed on August 1st. Feel free to make guesses on who you think might have written a story.
Something I have noticed in other fests is that commenting tends to wane after a little while, and I think that is unfair to the people whose fics get posted later on in the fest. I have read nearly all the fics (and sigarilyo has read the rest) and they all deserve your attention because WOW, they are brilliant. So, here at swingathon we are going to have a little commenting contest. If you comment on a fic you get 1 point. Then you can get up to three additional points based on the substance of the comment. The poster with the most comments at the end wins an actual prize! What is that prize? A $25 dollar Amazon gift certificate, of course! Anyone is eligible to participate in this contest, whether you wrote for swingathon, or not.
One final announcement and this one is IMPORTANT. We did have some drop-outs (don't worry, everyone who wrote a fic will receive a fic), but if the person you wrote for has now dropped out, your fic will be given as a gift to the whole community. So, that is the explanation for why we might have a few fics dedicated to the community at large, if any of you were curious.
