1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
re-visited someplace overseas (Morocco), stuck with a terrible, soul-sucking job (telemarketing), got on the Deans List, got a legal drink, and owned a fish.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really make new years resolutions, I don't think...
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope
4. Did anyone close to you die?
well, if you count Candy, then yes. And I do count her, as she was around the house for around 12 years. It's hard to get over a fixture of your home life being gone.
5. What countries did you visit?
Morocco. That's it this year (not even Canada!)
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A fun full time job (preferably in theare) over the summer, less stress and sadness. For Box Colony to get it's act together! oh and OBAMA AS PRESIDENT.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 10th: GIG. It was a good day, from a personal standpoint. :)
8. What were your biggest achievements of the year?
Learning to let people's past behavior go! And deciding to produce Playworks.
And figuring out that I should be dating one of the most wonderful people that I know, and acting upon this discovery in record time (in Margaret's world, it was damned fast.)
9. What was your biggest failure?
Dwelling on the past, and not getting help that I need.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
that epic cough, but not much else, I don't think.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Maverick! (my fishy!)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Alex, Melissa, Jon, and Meg have kept me together for most of the year (with Ben patching up from afar.) Greg, Lindsay, Amanda, and Becky all deserve mention as well. My mom remained awesome, as always.
I also think that John McCain, in his concession speech, deserved merit.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Sarah Palin.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Not sure! eating chinese? OH. Prociutto.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My lad. In many different, wonderful ways.

Going to the UK on the first of January, 2009!

Hmmm... Well, I didn't get much reading done over the past year. I am happy to say that I missed the whole Twilight hubbub. When You Are Engulfed in Flames was probably my favorite book I read this year. That or Kiss of the Spider Woman.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Sondre Lerche, Sufjian Stevens, The Solids, and re-discovering The Beatles.
27. What did you want and get?
I got a spot for both the UK and Slovenia trips for '09, so that's good...

I turned 21, and I went to work. My mother, in a moment of absent-mindedness, forgot that it was my birthday. Not the best ever.
However, the next day Amanda came to visit, and we had some awesome times. I think that counts as my real birthday!
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having more time! Having Ben be with me for the second half of the year.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Comfortable, but polished? I dunno.
32. What kept you sane?
Friends, and Maverick. I kid you not, that fish saved my sanity.
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Women's reproductive rights, mostly, but also education and the economy

Ben, and my brother.
