I applied for a job on Wednesday, interviewed yesterday and just found out that I got it today. Very exciting! It's a full time position, 9 to 5 or 10 to 6 Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. Mostly customer service and data entry, but it's over the phone, which makes it easier. The customer service wasn't what really bothered me about ( Read more... )

Still doing Misato, Asuka and Miwako. I've started on everything except Asuka. Miwako's basic dress is all cut and pinned, I need the lace and I need to make a shirt. Probably another day or two of work if I really crack down. For Misato, I need to do the detailing of the jacket--bias tape trim, buttons, epaulettes, collar, cuffs, and a funny little blue thing. The skirt is totally finished and the basic part of the jacket is cut out. Assuming that I run into no problems, which we both know won't happen, it would be a few hours, aside from the blue thing which I need to send you an email about ( ... )

Oh, actually, I could take the train after work on Thursday. . .It might not be as practical, but I probably could. Then I could do Friday and Monday off, which would probably work better, even if I do leave on Sunday, which I probably will. I'll just book a late train and recoup on Monday.

I don't really know what they're doing, if they're going or what. I need to talk to them about it.

Also, do you still want to go to the King Tut Exhibit? We're trying to go in August, so maybe you could stay with me after Otakon? Or something. . .even though that's not August. . .I'm the one in charge of the whole thing, so I need to figure it all out. And we've got like 10 people going already. Arg! Why do I do this to myself?!

I'm still leaning toward taking Friday and Monday, but I don't think I'll be able to take a train to get me there on time for pre-reg pickup Thursday if I do. It may work: If I leave Exton around 6 then I'll be in Baltimore by about 8. I think that's when about the time we picked them up last time?

The treasures of King Tut is totally worth the bus ride. It's the first time in thirty years they're touring them and they're going to London after. Bus can't get you to London. Plus, I'm not in London.
