Long overdue! This is fanart for Razordragonfly's 5 million years. Because it is an excellent fic, found here, if you are so inclined. (Hint: You should be.)
I was debating on sending it to you again- I thought the message had gotten eaten by LJ. You've written so much excellent fanfic, I'm happy you finally saw it and liked it so much.
Figures poor Crucible starts to deteriorate the chapter after I finally finish it for you though. XD
I got the message, I just don't remember seeing the email notification on it, and I wasn't going through my inbox while not writing. My fault! All my fault!
And I LOVE it! :D
Crucible has been deteriorating since TC grabbed him, I think. Heh!
Really, he is a word on a page and a personality in my mind. I don't have much of a visual impression, just his colors, his small size, and his ability to fly. I mostly think of him in terms of how he behaves.

That's actually so alien to me, its fascinating. When I'm building a character myself, what they look like just gets automatically compiled as I work out their personality. It just... happens. Even if its just a vague flicker of a thing.
Thanks for sharing that with me. I do agree that the most important thing to trying to write a character is understanding them, how they see the world and interact with it.
Canon characters save me the trouble of imagining how they look, because someone else has already done that. Heh! But when I make an OC, I go more the Hemmingway route, and only care how they look to the extent that it influences how they interact with the world. This is as much laziness on my part as anything else, but it works for me at least.
:D THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!

Mind if I ask you a question? How do you picture Crucible? I think you've said before you like people to form their own image, but what's your own?
