Pick a character and I will give and explain the top five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them. Any and all characters welcome (including ones I haven't written but might know about...)

1.) He's not a genius, but he's sharp as a whip. Very, very savvy and observant. He knows how to watch people, study how they behave, and use that information. He knows there's plenty out there smarter than him, but he also knows those people have no idea how much they give away just in the way they stand.
2.)He's self centered. Not that there aren't people that he cares about, or that he hopes won't fall into harm, but if its between you and him? Sorry, you're out of luck.
3.) He's wary. Just like he knows how to watch people, he's very careful about his own body language. He's not a trusting person, and tries to ensure he moves with confidence. He's got back up, and he's packing some serious heat, but tries to put up enough assurance that no one will try anything to make him need to use it.
4.) He's self reliant, and loathes needing help. No matter what kind of trouble he's in, he'd rather get himself out of it. He does not want to be dependent on anyone, or seem like he needs taking care of. Whatever it is, he'll handle it, leave him alone.
5.) He likes people. Sure he uses them for his own means, but he really does like people. He likes culture and language and visiting new societies. Part of it is new opportunities for clients and product, but much of it is Swindle just liking people. People are great.

i like your Swindle. he seems to share a lot of traits with my headcanon's Swindle, which is always fun. ^_^
