Religion really confuses me sometimes.
So God made this world, made all these people. And he loves us, right? Thats what all the songs and scriptures say. To trust our God because he loves us.
Well if he loves us so much, why does he give us so much pain and suffering? I understand that we can't all live forever. Death happens, i understand that. But why do more people die suffering and in pain than peopl who die peaceful.
Why is it that, according to religion, if you repent your sins, God forgives you? So we could all go kill someone, say we're sorry to God, and everything is going to be okay?
Why did God make diseases? And why do all the good poeple get them?
Grammy, Brandons grandmother, was just diagnosed with cancer. I was just sitting, talking to her yesterday, and she pretended as if nothing were wrong. Brandons brothers just graduated high school, his other brother is getting married, and his parents are about to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. What shoud be the happiest times of their lives, are now blessed with grief and sorrow. They are a wonderful, church going, God loving people. So if God loves us so much, why is there such a thing as cancer? it causes so much pain to not only the person who has it, but everyone who loves them. It just doesnt make sense to me.
The worst part about all of this, is theres no one who can answer these questions. No one knows why God does these things. No one even knows for sure that there is a God. All we have are scriptures written by people from years and years and years ago. No one even knows if they exist. It is all based on personal belief and faith.
I believe in God. I just dont understand how he decides who will get cancer, who will have a heart attack, or who will die peacefully in their sleep. And I guess I never will.
