I woke up at 9:45 today. Whoops. I missed physics, but I plan on dropping it anyway, so I'm not torn up about it. I didn't even sign up for it last year, like most of my classes. I think they lost my requests and the computer just shat something out. I've been in guidance like 5 times, met with the principal, etc. But, I've found a solution. Independent studies. I love those things. To anyone having schedule difficulties/ people who don't want to take 6 classes, I highly recommend them. You basically make up a class, get credit and an A. I'm not condoning laziness and easy A's, but I personally think the whole 6 classes thing when I only need 1 1/2, ridiculous. And, with an easier schedule, I can dedicate more time to FCC, Amnesty, photo club, and maybe GSA. I'd really like to take a bigger role in those clubs this year.

So now I'm trying to create some kind of double block film independent study thingy. Basically, Stank would advise it, but I'd just do stuff in the media room, so I wouldn't really need to report to him every day. Plus, I would get a chance to work on the film club PSA as well as well as a film to submit to colleges, since most colleges with film programs require you to submit something. There's an idea I've had for a while that I'd really like to make this fall. I think it could work, but I'd have to get moving on it immediately in order to have it ready by winter. If anyone is into drama or acting and would like to participate, that would be really great.

Anyone notice that our school became really ghetto this year? There's like 50 people in my study hall, and no desks to work in. Our English class is twice as big as it should be, as is drawing. I understand that we're broke, but it's still irksome.

Another thing that really bugs me about school are electives, and how people take them solely for credit with no interest in them at all. There are so many electives, can't you find something you even remotely have an interest in? If you despise latin, why are you taking it? Take french or spanish, or just don't take a language. If you hate drawing and think it's a waste of time, why are you taking it? I know that you have to take an art class, and that I'm being unreasonable, but its frustrating.
