The RIAA(record companies) are stepping it up. Now illegal downloading music can give you a ten-year sentence -

That's a heavier fine than peddling child pornography, manslaughter, and pedophilia. They have gone after a whole

host of people, including people without a computer (to do the downloading) deseased grandmothers, and all sorts of

other people. Fuck that shit. They screw over artists and screw over their customers. Many cd's now are $18-$20

instead of the normal $14-$15. That's called price gouging. They've tried to raise itunes music store prices and

have even claimed that ripping a cd to your computer and putting it on your ipod is not 'fair use'. I say, if you

really want to help the artist, download the album from limewire and donate your $15 to the artist directly. They'l

make an extra $14 on that cd....
