FIRE!
There was much excitement on my street today. My neighbor's house across the street caught on fire this afternoon! We had 6 fire trucks, a police car, and an ambulance, and at least 30 firefighters, a cop and 2 paramedics, along with a bunch of neighbors all on my little, tiny street. (For those of you who don't know, I live on a tiny cul-de-sac, with only 4 houses on it). Thankfully, everyone got out okay. The house however is going to need to be fixed before they can move back in. The fire got into the attic, so they're going to have to replace the whole roof, plus deal with the damage inside - they had to tear down a lot of the plaster ceiling to get to the fire and I'm sure there's some water damage. My dad went over there later this afternoon to look at their cars, which were in the closed garage, and there isn't too much body damage to them. They may just have to have some detail work done...and be aired out!
