Bonjour mes amis! It's me, Mimi once again, writing the 3rd post of Jodi's college career. What's up with Jodi you ask? Well, in less than 3 hours, she shall be taking the university-provided Turkey Shuttle (gobble gobble!) to St. Louis's Lambert International Airport--her flight home is at 6pm, and booooooooooooy is she excited! She cannot wait to see all of her family & friends again!
These past few weeks since our last little rendez-vous (*by the way, a giant truck just parked outside Jodi's open window, and booooooooy is she aggravated... ARGH, groans Jodi*) have been terrific for Jodi! She is still rocking at French--she got another A on her French exam--GOOOOOOO Jodi!!!! Her professor, Madame Breakstone, thinks that she is just awesome--in fact, she said that Jodi & I are "doing BEAUTIFULLY" as a team. As we speak, Jodi is doing her French homework--how very productive of her!
Jodi's trip to Chicago (remember? see below to the last post if you don't) was great fun! Her favorite part of the trip was the drive to & from the city--there was lovely bonding between (~*Okay, now the construction noises have begun*~) her Fo-1-Fo-Sho-mates: Mary, X, Pat, & Dave. They visited the Sears Tower for its great tallness, Michigan Ave for its great shopping, & friends at Northwestern for their great... friendliness? They wandered the Northwestern campus & Mary especially enjoyed herself. She proudly wore her WashU sweatshirt & boasted about our superior ranking in Newsweek--we are one rank above them & she made sure their whole campus knew it! (*Jodi just said I was a "strange kid." I raise my eyebrow in challenge.*)
Jodi loves her floor very much. There are 14 people on it, but Jodi considers her "REAL" floor to be... about 7 or so people. She & Mary & Pat & X & Rachel have made watching "Friends" a nightly ritual now. Mary has all 10 seasons on DVD! They have great fun with the opening song--"I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrandts. It goes, "So no one told you life was gonna be this way"--CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP. They love to all join in on the clapping part, but they're all quite awful at keeping beat to it, except for Pat. No matter though--they have great fun.
Hmm... Jodi is working hard to improve her sleeping skills. Imagine that! A college kid not good at sleeping! Hehe... Just kidding, Jo. ;) She uses a little sound machine to help her fall asleep... She selects the sound "White Noise." Personally, I think it's hard to differentiate between the White Noise & the sound of construction. I don't see why she's so annoyed by the construction noises here--her White Noise is equally loud & obnoxious: ~*SJJSJSJSJJSJSSJSJSCHHHHHHCHHCHHHHCHCHHHCHH*~
Speaking of sleep--I'm off to read her magazines now. She's saving them for when she can't fall asleep. She said I could read them ONLY AFTER I posted for her... ~*tear*~ See what our friendship is like? Anyways, my job here is done. :)
