sooo real update...
Here I am back in Oberlin enjoying a lovely abandoned campus over winter term. Not very many people are here so everything is pretty quiet other than the swim team drama that keeps life interesting. Swimming is going pretty well. Practices have been rough lately esp since my body has decided that it hates me and is going to wheeze everytime I attempt to swim fast which makes it REALLY FUCKING hard to hold a 1:10 pace when I can't seem to get air into my lungs. I seriously think I have a mild form of exercise induced asthma which of course has decided to creep up at a really really bad time. Kiri had the same problem only hers was worse so she finally went to the doctor and they gave her "magic pills" as she calls them to make the wheezing go away. I took one tonight so hopefully no wheezing tomorrow. Twould be excellent to actually make it through an entire practice w/o having touble breathing b/c for about the last 6 or 7 practices I've really been having problems. All well...hopefully the "magic pill" i took will help. So other than annoying wheezing...training is going ok. I didn't do so hot at the meet we had on Friday, mostly b/c I wasn't really trying...but we have one more meet before Conference and I'm going to hopefully do better there. Although I did swim the 200 breast last meet and it felt amazing so that was exciting so I'm for sure swimming the 200 breast at conference instead of the mile. So events for Conference will be the 200 breast, the 500 and the 200 free.
Swim team formal party was also last weekend. I wore the same dress I wore to Lee prom, the black sparkly one-shoulder dress. I think Formal party was the first time since about graduation that I've actually tried to make myself look pretty and done the whole hair, makeup, dressing-up thing. I honestly haven't really felt pretty in a long long time so it was really fun to do that. The party was really fun, despite some drama that is kinda unavoidable in situations like that. I think I may post pics sometime if I'm not too lazy...we'll see. Me actually looking attractive for a change is kinda something that I'd like to put on the internet hehe.
Winter term project is going ok...I haven't played for so long that I kinda suck.
Meh, I dunno, things are kinda weird right now...and i'm in a bad mood...meh...blah...oh well...
