swing is over
Last night was the presentation of our swing final projects. We had to choreograph a dance w/ a partner and perform it for the everyone. My routine was awesome - it would have been better if I'd screwed up less but the really cool parts of our routine (there was one part where I slide underneath my partner's legs) made up for a few minor mishaps i think. And then after everyone performed almost everyone stayed and danced which was awesome. I must say that swing is one of the most fun things ever and I'm once again reminded how awesome Oberlin is. but I'm sad b/c I won't be able to swing dance for like 4 weeks at least b/c I'll be gone and I won't get back here until after Florida. I'm almost 100% certain that there is no swing dancing in midland or anywhere close to Midland. I mean I bet there are places in Dallas and Houston, but I really don't see a trip to Dallas just for me to swing dance happening. Oh well...next semester is going to be awesome as far as swing is concerned and we'll hopefully get to dance over winter term as well. Now if only the rest of my finals could be as fun as swing was...
