Katrina
One major thing that is on my mind is the distruction and destitution of hurrican Katrina. I feel so helpless. I want to do something, but I don't know what I can do that would make a difference. I'll donate money, and I know that every little bit helps, but it seems so little when the problem is so big. I think the victims of Katrina were wronged by the government on many levels. I don't really know enough to make any strong comment, but I do know that it could've and can be handled better, more efficiently, and appropriately. I don't think people (especially in the West) can grasp the magnitude of this crisis. Its so easy for us to turn off the TV. But can anyone imagine losing absolutely everything, every comfort, everything that made you who you are? NO one can except for the survivors of Katrina. I hope that somehow I can aid in a return to normalicy for those people.
