I also made bagels yesterday. Used the last of the yeast I had on hand... :( Interesting experience, and holy toledo, the warm bagels were yummy. They are a little tough when they've cooled down, but still...
They are also smaller than those jumbo bagels from a place like Einstein's, but that can be easily remedied, if I so choose, if I make them again.
