I'm a bloody alternate for the summer FLAS. [through UT] I know that Amy says she'll be able to create more, but I don't know the time line on that. If I don't get it through UT or IU, then I can't go. It is not financially feasible. If it were just me, I could take out the loans, but it isn't just my credit. My fingers are crossed... I hope something comes through. Without something this summer, I really don't think my language will be up to par to do all the reading and research necessary for my thesis, much less attaining an appropriate language proficiency level on the interiew or even the confidence to teach.

I flat out didn't get the year FLAS... not really surprised or disappointed.

I wish I knew why I didn't get these, so I could know what to do better in the future.
