Further proof that I've become too institutioalized for my own good: today I signed a totally non-school related paper with my name and my student ID. I turned it in and was surprised when they asked me what the numbers meant.
The across-the-street neighbours have had their trees invaded by grackels, and their children who come home in police cars have taken to shooting of guns to make them shut up. This does happen, but only after immense rustling and burying of the gun-toting tormenters in piles of yellowred leaves. And two seconds later the birds are at it again, and the shooting and rustling and cawing starts all over again.
I did fifty derivations and fell asleep four times this afternoon. Accomplishment.
