For Loresinger

Nov 28, 2006 23:14

Inspired by Loresinger, who sometimes I worry about having too much in common with.

Understanding Pain

Unto those who doth indeed share this globe of ours,
Pray take a little time and show a bit of remorse,
Or thou canst at the least invoke some higher powers,
To lead my life to a different recourse.

For verily I will now indeed do tell,
Of miseries, doubt, loathing and pain.
That shall we say, is my own personal hell,
Well, do no doubt me if I say I am insane.

Nay, nay I doth hear the words you say,
That life cannot indeed be so bad,
That you would have me be forced to pray,
So I shant go bark, screaming mad!

Tis too late for that I assure you,
The world has already left its mark,
But truly be it the last thing you do,
Take heed now, take hark!

Steady job or income for me and mine?
Hah! Double Hah! I say to thee!
Perhaps some morsel of food on which to dine?
My stomach growling says its empty to me!

Oh what is that, do you say?
Mere whining about trivial details?
Live in my shoes for a day,
And you will see all that it entails.

Nay listen not, if that is what you please,
If I cannot move you to sympathy,
Or be left alone in peace,
Tis the last thing I want, for you to pity me.

Hermes and Bes laugh at my plight,
Having taken away my last ounce of luck,
Making me at last willing to fight,
Well to say at least this "World, you suck!"
