(no subject)

So, at work the other day, I was proud of myself. I stood up for what I believed in. Although, I didn't tell off my coworkers like I really wanted to.

The discussion went something like this:

"So do any of you make fun of gay people?"
"Yeah all the time..."

(me) "well, yeah, but I do it in front of them and it's a fun thing not a derogatory one."

"But don't you think that it is wrong?..."

(me) "I have a really good friend that is bi, and I have no problem with him, he's really sweet and cute too."

"That's even WORSE!... is it a girl or guy?"

(me)"guy."

"ewww. and you're friends with him."

"Yeah. what's wrong with it?"

"But I mean, he likes girls and guys. That's wrong. God didn't make Adam and Steve..."

(me laughing a lot, but not my hysterical funny laugh that I wanted to do)"No he didn't. But it's his choice and I don't care either way."

and it kept going for a while, but oh my god, they are hypocrytical. VERY much so. anyway. I'm going to try to make my room cleaner. yeah right. it's very discouraging right now. I wish I had cleaning faeries to help me, but I have to make do with Tony. Who I have asked for a month now to please pick up his (at least 20) soda cans and has yet to do so. You see what I am up against... oh well. here's to trying!
