Me too

I also haven't posted anything of substance for a while so here I go.

I love my new position on my new team! This is my fourth week on the Silver team (all the teams at Haggin are named after colors for some reason) working on AT&T and USAA stuff. The first two weeks were very scary and tiring. By the end of my second week I wasn't sure I could hack it, but now I feel much better. I get to write real stuff! Like whole paragraphs sometimes! And full sentences almost all the time. It's cool too because I'm getting a lot of different kinds of experience and work for my portfolio. For AT&T we do several different catalogs and writing the headlines is fun. We also do their programming guide which is also fun-writing synopses for TV shows and movies and stuff. Now I want AT&T TV, but I can't get it where I live. Oh well. For USAA we do all kinds of stuff. The financial stuff is pretty dry, but good experience. And it's cool to know all the things I can do, since I am also a member. But we also do stuff for their partners, a jewelry catalog, various small potatoes direct mails and credit statement inserts. My favorite is the Explore Cruise Travel magazine. Even though it's really just a big ad dressed up as a magazine, I still got to write four short articles. Editorial! I can hardly believe it! I like my team too, although I still kinda feel like the weirdo, I am starting to at least feel like I'm not the only one. Hours tend to be longer, but I don't care, it feels so good to be challenged and really writing things.

Besides work pretty much all I think about it my fast-approaching trip to New Zealand. I have the first 8 days planned pretty much to a T. I feel like an anal dork, but at least I know I'm fitting everything in that I possibly can. I still to to actually start booking things, but I need money again for that. I have saved a good amount of money and it's safely in my ING account where I can't get to it. That's money for when I'm there, I will proceed to use regular bank account money for bookings, just waiting for next paycheck. I found a really good deal on a new camera which was something I really wanted. My old one just didn't seem like it would cut it.

Another good thing is Jay is finally working again, and it seems like it is sticking. I actually received money for bills this week! Which means more money for my trip too. It's such a relief. And also really nice to have time to myself. Our schedules are working out nicely so we have a good amount of time together and apart.

That's pretty much it, don't feel like going into his jobs. Other detail about life and minor activities, but mostly I'm just a boring homebody these days, which I don't mind a bit!
