I had the first half of the week off to attend my (once) little cousin Peter's wedding reception in SLC. It was a whirlwind trip. There on Monday, home on Wednesday, but it was nice to visit the old valley and see the family, even though I had no time for anything else. I still can't get my head around the fact that Peter is now married at age 23 to the second girlfriend he has ever had in his life. Not only did they both graduate with high honors from ASU, now they are both in a DOCTORATE, not Masters, program at Penn State, each with a full ride. How would that be? I have no idea.
Silly me thought how nice it was to come back to only a 2-day work week, until I went to my first math class Thursday evening, until 10pm, got home at almost 11, and math...oh god! I remember NOTHING! It's a frightening and daunting prospect, this semester of Intermediate Algebra. And then Friday-FRIDAY! I was at work until 8, got home a little after 9, totally exhausted, only to get up early for my Saturday 4-hour graphic communication class and then head straight back to work for 2.5 hours. This is one of those times when I wish I had a car. I got out of class in almost South San Fran and 2, took Bart then the bus and arrived at the office just north of Sausalito across the Golden Gate Bridge at 4, finally got home at 8. *Heavy Sigh* Anyway the reality of my schedule is setting in. Mon/Wed gym, Tues/Thurs Math class, Sat Graphics class from 10-2. Leaves little time for much else, but still, I like it. A little structure never hurt anyone, and god knows I could use it and many people do much more than that with their little time.
Highlight of the last 3 grueling days: came come on Thursday to flowers and sushi dinner courtesy of sweet sweet Jay!
