I'm waiting for smoke to come out of my laptop. My soundcard is so far gone I can barely listen 2 songs without problems. As I type this the sound gets distorted as well because of the vibrations of me hitting the keyboard. So I'm gonna have to back my shit up, and hand this piece of junk in so it might be repaired. Fun. Or not.

You see, the problem is that I can't accurately reproduce the problem. I went to the university's Notebook Service Center and told them of my problem. So the dude said "ok, show me." I turn on some music, and it plays nicely. Normal. Second song, still perfect. So I get a bit annoyed and start pressing my laptop here and there, trying to get the sound to distort. Normally I do that to try and fix the sound. And of course it's my luck that, when I actually need the sound to go bad for once, it doesn't happen. Gah!

The dude then told me to backup my data and reinstall a fresh image of the standard software to see if that makes the problem go away. As much as I hate to do it, I'm actually forced to do that now. I have only one other option which is to buy an external soundcard. Seeing that getting it fixed will be free of charge (I hope; it's free most of the times) I'm saving that option for later or never. If the problem goes away, I know it was a software related problem. Maybe a bug or corrupt driver or whatever. But I really think it's a hardware problem: pressing on my laptop helps to (un)distort the sound. So I'm kinda fucked. Oh joy...

I needed to write this down in order to make my mind up to actually go and reinstall ALL my crap. I hate it but I have no choice really. Sorry if you read through all of that, it wasn't interesting.

Oh, it just died... goodnight...
