What a day Wednesday was
This day HUGE for me. It was spoon-greedy but definitely worth it.
+ Re-shaped eybrows
? learnt of the death of Ledger while having breakfast & felt the need to post about it :c?
+ Finished filing nails
+ Saw an Avon customer at the bus stop
+ Read through the current Avon brochure on the bus
+ 10am appointment with Immunology at RPA showed no Ross River or Cat Scratch fever or other infectious causes so we are sticking with the Auto-Immune theory.
+ Met up with Jules and shared medical stories over brunch at Circle8.
+ Wandered up King St stopping in at Art on King. Got some masks and some clear fixative spray
+ Found 'Awaken the Giant Within' at Elizabeth's while looking for the Blue Day Book
+ Looked in shops at pretty stuffs n things while searching for the Blue Day Book
+ Finally found the book in Better Read Than Dead
+ Got Boost energy boost to try and soldier on
+ Caught up with Grace in Macro cafe - Gave her xmas Hello Kitty bling, Card and Avon order
- Went home for a Nana Nap for a few hours.
+ Got to life drawing
+ Got to use the new Derwent Soft Graphic pencils I got at Office Works.
+ Got to see some of the regulars
+ Got Oportos with Piggy & Mim. They donated me some chips coz I is poor. We all agreed that that Oportos Mayo is awesome.
+ Made it to Goth City
- Newtown RSL don't like my ID and now insist that I join or get someone to sign me in next time
+ The chick on the front desk was nice enough to sign me in 'this one time'
+ First band sounded pretty cool
- I only got to hear half of their last song
+ Jeff bought me a drink (Will have to return the favour when I can)
- The second band's sound levels were a bit full-on for me. They were a bit metal for me but pretty cool for that type of music. I noticed a few places where further rehearsal would get rid of bad timing between the brothers in the 'fast bit'.
+ They handled my quasi-heckling with good humour. They are from Kiama and I like Kiama. One of their songs is called 'Dead Inside'... some people may not realise that I was laughing at the Dead Inside the Chrysalis reference. G's mate Aiden is like their number one fan. I think the bass player was actually quite good and possibly better than his mates. (But this is all just my opinion).
+ Katja shared some nice wine with me. (McGuigans Black Label for future reference)
+ Caught up with Barbara who I went to high school with and her friend whose name I've forgotten. Someone tell their LJs? Craig?
+ Saw cool people I haven't seen in ages - Craig, Bad Pauly, Jeff, Joe, Decker (I heard you moved to Melbourne WTF are you doing in Syd? If you escaped why come back to this roach-infested overprices hole?)
- Turned into a pumpkin at 10pm and had to get the bus home.
+ Snuggled up in bed with George exhausted and sore but happy.
Thanks everyone who I saw and made me smile. Sorry if I was a bit vague or grumpy at the end of the day.
Yes, I paid for it by being sore most of today and having to sleep all day. I've been awake just over 6 hours now I will need to head back to bed if I'm to make it out of the house tomorrow.
