I've loved that song for years, and when I got into this fandom and heard that song again I nearly wailed, "I love Robin Hood, I've been a Robin Hood fan since childhood, this song is about Robin Hood, I can't turn it into a Clintasha song just like that!" But I still did, because it's not like I can control that. ^_^ I'm so glad you took it to fanfiction level!

Did she actually write it about Robin Hood? I never know where Heather takes her inspirations from (unless it's really obvious), but I can believe it. :) And thank you; Clintasha is definitely like that.

I actually saw her perform it live and she introduced it by saying (paraphrasing), "I've always loved Robin Hood, but I really love Maid Marian, because I asked myself, who would be willing to give up everything to be with this wanderer rebel? I mean, that really takes guts, to go with that love at the cost of every material thing you've held."

(Terribly, terribly late reply, I apologize!) I am insanely jealous that you had the chance to watch her perform; does she do concerts, or was this a different kind of event? And those are very good questions to ask; I've really never thought of it that way.

I saw her at a filk convention some years ago! I know she does conventions where there are filk concerts; I'm not sure if she does other venues.

I have to admit, I needed to Google 'filk'. That sounds awesome! I'll have to keep an eye out for any related activities in my area.
