THIS IS A GOOD DAY!
I'm so proud of my country and the Obama administration for doing the right thing in appealing DADT. 17 YEARS! I remember when DADT was enacted by the Clinton adminstration. It was sold as a safe guard for the military and that it will protect the gay and lesbian soldiers from being discharge. But history has showed us that making a person live a lie is the worst crime and the law was twisted so it didn't protect the men and women who serve their country at all. I have no idea how the LGB soldiers dealt with the stress of the job and the added stress of living their life in the dark. Hopefully today, the country has taken a step in the right direction. The next step is legalizing same sex marriage through out the country.
One day the children of this country will ask what was the big deal and why did it take us so long to do what was right.
