I'm on a new diet.
Yea yea yea... but my doctor gave me this one. So far, so good. Its only a 3-day one, and was created, and is backed up, by The Heart Association and the Cleveland Clinic. Its to lose up to 10-lbs in 3 days. But you can't do it more than 3 days. After that you eat normal again for 4, then go back to it... its for heart patients needing to lose weight. You can lose up to 40 lbs a month if you really want to. Its all based on chemical reactions within the foods you eat. Hence the reason you have to east EXACTLY as it says.
Here it is:
DAY ONE-
Breakfast:
Black Coffee or Tea
1/2 Grapefruit
1 slice dry toast
2 Tbsp. Peanut Butter
(mel note: Breakfast was GREAT. I had it late because I had worked out before, but do you know how much 2 Tablespoons of PB is??? 1 totally smothered my toast. So I ate the toast and Grapefruit, and had an entire one left over on the measuring spoon to eat and licked as I pleased for "dessert")
Lunch:
Black Coffee or Tea
1/2 cup dry tuna (packed in water)
1 slice dry toast
(mn: Lunch is skimpy. The tuna I perked up with salt and pepper and I thought I'd be really bummed with how unfilling it was, but the piece of toast at the end filled me up (granted I had breakfast 3 hours prior. You can drink as much water as you want, but you cannot add anything but salt and pepper to anything you eat. Kinda sucks, but makes sense. I'm not one for black coffee, but the caffeine is needed to react, so I have at least one 8 oz cup with each meal. I just got the instant cups)
Dinner:
3 oz of any meat (I chose turkey lunch meat)
1 cup green beans (I'm doing french Style with salt and pepper)
1 cup red beets
1 small apple
1/2 cup vanilla ICE CREAM! (woohoo!)
*I havent had dinner yet, but that is alot of food. And its stuff I like and its not monotonous like the cabbage soup diet I kept having to break to keep sane.
DAY TWO-
Breakfast:
Black Coffee or Tea
1 egg
1 slice dry toast
1/2 banana
Lunch:
Black Coffee or Tea
1 cup cottage cheese
5 Saltine crackers
Dinner:
2 hot dogs (no bun, no ketchup, etc)
1 cup broccoli
1/2 cup carrots
1 banana
1/2 cup vanilla icecream
DAY THREE-
Breakfast:
Black Coffee
2 Saltine Crackers
1 slice chedder cheese
1 banana or small apple
Lunch:
Black Coffee or Tea
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice dry toast
Dinner:
1 cup dry tuna
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup red beets
1/2 cantelope
1/2 cup vanilla icecream
I will be hungry some, but the weight doesn't come right back, and its all the foods i missed while on the cabbage diet. I get to eat meat, I get to have my carbs, and I get sweets! can't beat that.
Breakfast is rough because I haven't slept at home the last 3-nights in a row... oh lordy, I am a typical "shipping out" person.
